Statue of Saint Jude

The Apostle Saint Jude (or Thaddeus) is represented with his right hand and face turned towards the ground, and his right arm raised in the air with his index finger pointing towards the sky. Located on the south-west corner of the spire base, this copper statue was designed by Eugene Viollet-le-Duc, sculpted by Adolphe Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume and made by the Ateliers Monduit in 1861.
